1. The budget: First, figure out your budget and how much you will be able to spend because this does play a factor when choosing when and where you will be able to have the wedding, how many people you can invite, etc.
2. The date: This can often be a difficult choice but don’t forget that this is your day so pick the one that works best for you and your bride-to-be.
3. The guests: Create a list of all the people you want to invite, have your fiancée do the same, then compare. Be aware that your parents might have a list of their own. Create an “A” and “B” list.
4. Location: Decide on where you are going to hold the ceremony and the reception. The best places get booked early so act quickly.
5. The Best-man and Groomsmen: Check with your partner and see how many people you would like to have in your wedding party. As a rule, have one usher for every fifty guests.
