DROP POUNDS BEFORE YOUR BIG DAY


EXERCISE:

Weight training:
Hit the circuit 3 times a week hard. Don’t jack on the weights; just get those reps going and get those muscles working. More reps equal a leaner, meaner and hotter you. We’re not workin’ on strength necessarily, save that for after the wedding. We need to shed that winter coat you’ve got hanging off your waist.

Cardio:
Aim for 45 mins. a day, 6 days a week. If you’re looking to lose a few inches before the big day cardio is an absolute MUST. But don’t think that cardio has to be the intimidating or mundane equipment at the gym. Go for a run, a jog, or even a brisk walk. Break up the cardio – do 15 mins before work or even walk to work, if possible. Go out for a 20 min. walk at lunch time, take the stairs, or get off/on the bus a few stops before yours. Then 30 minutes after your workout won’t seem as bad as a whole hour. You’ve broken it up but it doesn’t mean you didn’t do the work.

Fun with your fiancée:
Include your fiancée in your workouts when possible and I don’t mean just in the bedroom. This way you can spend time together and support each other through your workouts. Try going for a late night jog to the park. Don’t be afraid to use the jungle gym for pull ups, hanging ab exercises and that grass is great for push ups or whatever else one might do. Make it interesting and change it up.
